What our audience is saying…
“Unbelievably moving and poignant”
“A powerful performance. Wonderful!”
Irena and Ivan, two musicians who escaped the Bosnian war, are trying to start a new life in Pittsburgh. Ivan has taken on a new violin student, Eddie, and wants Irena to teach piano to his older sister, Kat. But stubborn, angry Kat is a stark contrast to Maja, the young prodigy Irena still regrets leaving behind. This tale of two cultures and two generations is a tribute to the power of music to help us heal and help one another. Rated PG for subject matter and will include some intense war sound effects (bombs, gunfire, etc.).
Performances at the ACPL Auditorium.
